Future Projects

Books

The Trustees are always pleased to receive suggestions for new areas of research. Even if you do not feel able to be the author of such research and writing we may be able to help with ideas or find someone who could push the project forward.

The Trustees are well aware that there are many makes of car that do not have their own detailed history. Two of the most obvious are Hillman (pre Rootes) and Standard. Any suggestions for suitable authors for these or other one-make histories would be very welcome.

Oral History

The Trust is funding an on-going oral history project. The Trust sets out to record the life and thoughts of people who have spent many years in some aspects of motoring. Believing that most famous names have already been well recorded, the Trust is concentrating on the backroom boys and lesser known individuals, who may well have an important story to tell. Suggested names for future interviews will be most welcome. We are also looking for a computer literate volunteer who is in possession of the appropriate recording equipment, to undertake the management of this project, including the editing and archiving of material already produced.

Please contact the Secretary of the Trust with any suggestions.
