Books
The Trustees are always pleased to receive suggestions for new areas of research. Even if you do not feel able to be the author of such research and writing we may be able to help with ideas or find someone who could push the project forward.
The Trustees are well aware that there are many makes of car that do not have their own detailed history. We are delighted that one such gap has been filled with the publication of Graham Robson's full history of the Standard Motor Company published by Veloce.
A completely re-written, enlarged and up dated version of “HRG” by Ian Dussek has recently been published as has Sunbeam-Talbot and Alpine in detail by Anders Clausager. Russian Limousines" by Maurice Kelly (who sadly died recently) was published by Veloce in the Spring of 2011 and more recently The Frazer Nash Archives have published "Archie Frazer-Nash - Engineer" a book which goes beyond the inventors car exploits. To be published in 2012 the story of the Huddersfield coachbuilders Rippon diligently researched by Jonathan Wood." All these books have been helped by the Michael Sedgwick Trust.
We are looking for an author (or authors) to produce a definitive book on the history of the Hillman make.
Please contact the Secretary of the Trust with any suggestions. |
